Hello! I'm Jo :)

My friends would tell you I'm an easy going free spirit with a flair for finding truth in people. I've taken that flair and put it to good use as a photographer. I've been behind a camera since I was 12 years old, but it's been my professional career for almost 10 years now (wow, that makes me feel old!).

 

I started my journey as a wedding photographer because I loved capturing people in their happiest, most honest and loving state. What can I say? I love...love!! The sentimental joy and excitement of a wedding day really lights me up!

Years have passed and as I developed my flow and photojournalistic style as a wedding photographer, I found myself wanting for more time with my wedding clients, of whom, many had come to feel like friends. So naturally, I decided to dive head first into becoming a maternity and newborn photographer too! 

​

After two years of study and several very trusting clients, I have built a newborn portfolio that I can be proud of. There's something so magical about being able to record the sweetness of a newborn baby, freezing that precious new love in time for parents to hold onto forever. Adding this element to my skillset has afforded me the delightful opportunity to watch my wedding clients grow and change from blissfully happy newlyweds to strong and glowing parents. Being trusted to follow and capture these couples along their joyful life journeys fills my heart with warmth and a sense of purpose. 

 

As a creative and passionate photographer and lover of love, I want to document all the little details of your biggest life events. I will always do my best to make you feel at ease while I shoot because I really want your images to be original and expressive of your uniquely wonderful personalities. After all, you'll hire me to capture some of the most impactful moments in your life, and my goal will always be to provide you with images that can help you to relive those amazing moments just as they were, over and over again!
